A company's value is best determined by using multiple appraisal methods, which are taken from three basic valuation approaches:

  • Determination of value based on multiples paid for similar businesses
  • Return on equity
  • Determination of value based on expected return on equity for similar businesses
  • Estimate of debt levels supportable by target operations will be determined
  • Discounted Cash Flow Analysis
  • Analysis of target’s ability to generate cash flows from operations
  • Preparation of financial projections
  • Data gathered from the target during due diligence and general industry knowledge
